Each Friday, Tom Fitzgerald drives the same people home from Dublin to spend the weekend in Rathdoon. Nancy, Dee, Kev and Celia - each has their own secret story, unknown to their fellow passengers. And of course Tom himself has his own reasons for returning home so regularly? Although I had read this book years ago, it had come back into my mind and I re-read a library copy. I genuinely enjoyed the secret stories about Nancy, Dee, Kev, Judy, Celia, Rupert and Tom. Although the book contains a wide range of characters and lives on mentioning many names, it never feels difficult to follow the stories of drug, alcohol and health problems, problems and insecurities about relationships and secret affairs. Brilliant entertainment...
