Mitten in das Geschehen auf der beschaulichen Insel geraten ein Verlegerehepaar auf Urlaub und die Inselpolizei. Dank ihrer Neugierde und ihres Scharfsinns, mit Hilfe guter Freunde und mit etwas Glück sind sie der Kripo vom Festland immer einen Schritt voraus.

Eine kurzweilige Geschichte, die zwar interessant wäre, aber leider zu wenig faszinierend geschrieben wurde. Die Charakteren sind farblos und vorhersehbar, die Handlung eher langsam und die Landschaft auch eher emotionslos beschrieben.

Ruhig liegt das Kaffeehaus "Heller" im nebeligen Wien nördlicher der Donau. Dies ändert sich schlagartig, als ein Stammgast, die pensionierte Susanne Niedermayer, erschlagen aufgefunden wird. Die Polizei vermutet einen Betrunkenen als Täter, doch Chef-Ober Leopold mag nicht an diese Version glauben. Auf eigene Faust stellt er Nachforschungen an. Eine heiße Spur führt ihn in den Klub "Fernweh". Bei Filmvorführungen und Diavorträgen floh die alte Dame hier regelmäßig aus der Enge ihrer Heimat in die große, weite Welt.

Eine nette Geschichte, die zwar vorhersehbar ist, aber wegen des Wiener Dialekts und des Wiener Lebens gute Unterhaltung und Abwechslung bietet. Für solche die Wien kennen, wird Floridsdorf attraktiv präsentiert...

A fantastic, funny and tear-jerking story, which clearly shows John Grogan's love for his beast...

Is it too late for Ginny to set right the first impression she made when Finn Penhaligon got quite the wrong end of the stick? And is either Finn or Perry quite what they seem?

This has been easy, fluffy chick-lit and it was very predictable, romantic and upbeat. Perfect escapist writing for a hospital bed...

Diese Novelle war sehr kurzweilig mit interessanten historischen Fakten. Die Hintergründe waren eindeutig und gut recherchiert und die etwas überraschende Wende in Celie war auch sehr ansprechend...
